What is an AI visibility tool?
An AI visibility tool checks whether AI answer engines such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Claude name or link to your business when someone asks a question in your category, and tracks that over time. Some tools stop at a technical audit of your site; some also ask real questions and keep the answers; a few also connect the answers to the visits and customers that follow.
What does Alice check, and how often?
Alice asks the buyer questions you choose, plus questions drawn from your own search queries, on Google AI Overviews, an OpenAI model with web search and the Anthropic API with web search. Each answer is stored with its sources and marked cited, mentioned, not cited, or no sources returned. Paid plans check daily; the free plan checks five questions weekly.
Does it tell me who is cited instead of me?
Yes. For every question where you are not cited, Alice lists the domains the engine drew on, so you can see whether a competitor, a directory, a review site or a community page took the citation, and where you have nothing published.
Do I need Search Console or GA4 to use it?
No. Enter your website to start. Search Console adds queries, clicks and impressions; GA4 adds visits and your signup, purchase or lead events. Those connections are read-only and take about ten seconds each.
Can an AI visibility tool get me cited?
No tool can promise that, and we do not. What Alice does is show the gap, name the page and the question to work on, draft the change for your approval if you connect GitHub, and keep checking so you can see whether the reading moved afterward.
Is there a free AI visibility check?
Yes. The free check runs a website audit plus one question about your brand and one buyer question across all three engines, with no signup. The free plan then watches five buyer questions weekly.
